The Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. On average, the Chapter responds to 8-10 residential fires per month.

Poplar Grove Tornado CleanUp - January 2008

 After a freak tornado hit Boone County in January of 2008, the Rock River Chapter was on the scene to assess damages and provide food and drink to nearly 700 volunteers and emergency response personnel.
